Destruction

Destruction je německá thrash metalová hudební skupina, která byla založena v roce 1982. Patří mezi klíčové postavy evropské thrash metalové scény 80. let a je členem tzv. ´Velké čtyřky německého thrash metalu´, spolu s kapelami Kreator, Sodom a Tankard. Nejen, že byla jedním z průkopníků black metalu, ale byla také součástí druhé vlny thrash metalu v osmdesátých letech po boku amerických kapel jako Testament, Sacred Reich, Death Angel a Dark Angel.

Zakládajícími členy skupiny byli Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer (zpěv, baskytara), Mike Sifringer (kytara) a Tommy Sandmann (bicí). Skupina je známá pro svůj agresivní a energický hudební styl, typický pro žánr thrash metalu. Jejich texty se často zabývají politickými, sociálními a anti-náboženskými tématy.

Destruction vydali několik významných alb, včetně "Infernal Overkill", "Eternal Devastation" a "Release from Agony". Tyto desky přinesly skupině věhlas v thrash metalové komunitě díky jejich intenzivní hudbě a silným textům.
