Buffalo, New York, the 27th of July
The best moments of our lives can take us quite by surprise
Another stupid summer staying asleep just to stay sane
Becomes a month of new beginnings and a 9 hour drive to Maine
And it's crazy how easy it is to convince yourself
You're doing fine just sitting 'round feeling bored
But when you're making new friends, playing songs together, exploring new places
You wonder how this part of life could ever be ignored
And it's like the best ever vacation
And last night was the most amazing conversation
It's just nice sometimes to let each other know
That we all care and understand somewhat
And with our friends we always have somewhere to go
