I felt the wind blow through me
The air was a dense as a cloud

And I heard a voice call out like a whisper in the wilderness
Walked me to the water place

Your face was like a
Dark eyes fall on grave
Her eyes were like a lonely circus clown's caught up in the wrong parade
And she said

I'm an old lady and I can't find my way home
Please walk me down to the water, I wanna watch the ocean roll
I wanna watch the stars above me as they drift out in the sea
She said I'm an old, I wanna go out peacefully

I wanted to talk to her but I didn't know what to say
So I held on my hand foolishly and asked for the way
She said

My friends call me Gloria but they're no wonder alive
I just hear their voices now drifting somewhere in my mind
A dirty umbrella dangled loosely from her side
The pattern on her raincoat was faded at her eyes, and she said

I'm an old lady and I can't find my way home
Please walk me down to the water, I wanna watch the ocean roll
I wanna watch the stars above me as they drift out in the sea
She said I'm an old, I wanna go out peacefully

And I knew she really wanted to talk to somebody
I knew she didn't really wanna die
But the timbre in her voice said 'help me, I'm falling, so lonely, forgot how to cry'
And I tried to comfort her but how much can words say?
She was searching for the years gone by
The pounding of the waves

I'm an old lady and I wanna go out peacefully
