Cro-Mags

Cro-Mags je americká hardcore punková a crossover thrash kapela založená v New Yorku v roce 1981. Patří k předním představitelům hardcore punku na východním pobřeží Spojených států a hrála klíčovou roli v rozvoji crossover thrash žánru.

Zakládajícím členem kapely byl zpěvák a baskytarista Harley Flanagan. Skupina prošla několika změnami sestavy během své existence, a to zejména kvůli konfliktům mezi jejími členy. Jejich debutové album s názvem "The Age of Quarrel" bylo vydáno v roce 1986 a stalo se kultovním albem hardcore punkového žánru. Obsahuje mnoho ikonických skladeb, včetně "We Gotta Know" a "World Peace".

Kromě "The Age of Quarrel" vydali Cro-Mags několik dalších alb, včetně "Best Wishes", "Alpha Omega" a "In the Beginning". Cro-Mags měli významný vliv na hardcore punkovou a metalovou scénu. Jejich hudba a texty odrážely sociální a politické problémy a osudy mladých lidí v New Yorku.
