Drive On

Owen Riegling

Life's a winding road that we keep driving
We don't know where it goes but we're surviving
And if I get it my way
I'll have a little house off a byway somewhere
And all that you get back is what you've given
The little things make it all worth livin'
We go to church on Sundays
Back to work on Mondays that's right

Time goes on and we get strong
Grow up quick and then we're gone
And all we go is somewhere down this road
But loves so good, to leave it hurts
We miss our moms we miss our church
We miss the things we all grew up on
Guitar man with the quick right hand
And you've been in ped and the big time plans, drive on

Each year's like a chapter in this book
Sometimes I flip back and take a look
Smile about the old days
Laugh about my old ways in hair

Time goes on and we get strong
Grow up quick and then we're gone
And all we go is somewhere down this road
About your time we may cheer on
Makeup and just move on
And all you'll see just how far you go
Guitar man with the quick right hand
And you've been in ped and the quick time plans, drive on

These days I've been feelin' pretty good
I'm thankful for these strings wound the wood
And I still pray on Sundays
Back to work on Mondays that's right
Time goes on and we get strong
Grown-up know and on our own
Here we are settled down this road
All those years of running round
Finally, we're all settled down
Raising up families of our own
Guitar man with the quick right hand
And you've been in ped just drive on down that road
